It's been 22 and a half years since Kim Basinger steamed up cinemas with raunchy sex scenes beside fellow idol Mickey Rourke.

But judging by this picture of the ageless screen beauty - it could have been just nine and a half weeks ago.

Kim turned 55 on Monday and, rare for a Hollywood A-lister, she seems to have foregone any discreet niptucks or Botox jabs. Only a few faint wrinkles across her forehead hint at her real age.

Kim was making a rare public appearance at the LA premiere of her new film While She Was Out.
